

Brendon Kim, General Partner

Brendon Kim is a General Partner and co-founder of Altos Ventures, focusing on investments in the areas of wireless communications and enterprise software. He currently serves as a director of Branders.com, Bright Edge, DigitalPath, and Vapro. Brendon has also served as a director of Bluedot Software (acquired by Ambassadors International), Egreetings (EGRT, acquired by American Greetings) and Enwisen.
Before joining Altos Ventures in 1996, Brendon was a management consultant at CSC Index. He led executive teams in strategy development, marketing, and re-engineering projects that resulted in dramatic revenue and productivity improvements. His clients included Fortune 500 companies in the telecommunications, media and healthcare industries. Before CSC Index, Brendon worked at Procter & Gamble and the consulting practice at Coopers & Lybrand.
Brendon serves on the board of the National Association of Investment Companies (NAIC) and is a founding director and former president of the Korean American Society of Entrepreneurs (KASE). He is also a former director of the Korean IT Network (KIN). Brendon received an MBA from Stanford University and a BA from Princeton University.

Han J. Kim, General Partner

Han Kim is a General Partner and co-founder of Altos Ventures, focusing on investments in the areas of software and business services. He also concentrates on companies with significant business in Asia, leveraging the firm's substantial contacts in the region, particularly in Korea. Han currently serves on the board of Blogcocktail, Bluehole, Lohika, OutSpark, Pandora.tv, Provade, Nable Communications, SeeControl, Spicus and TVU Networks, and works closely with DemandTec and Vesta Corporation. He also led the firm’s prior investments in Instill (acquired by iTradeNetwork), Digital Market (acquired by Agile Software), Evant (acquired by Manhattan Associates),and iOwn (acquired by Citigroup).
Before founding Altos Ventures in 1996, Han worked at Booz Allen & Hamilton solving strategic and operational issues for global media, retail and distribution companies. Previously, he was at Procter & Gamble. Han also served as a Captain in the U.S. Army Corps of Engineers. Han served two years in Korea, commanding both U.S. and Korean soldiers.
Han received an MBA from Stanford University and a BS in Engineering from the U.S. Military Academy at West Point.

Anthony Lee, General Partner

Anthony Lee is a General Partner of Altos Ventures, where he focuses on software and digital media investments. Anthony currently serves as a director of CrownPeak, Bright Edge, Demandbase, GuardianEdge Technologies, Hooked Media Group, Koofers.com, Netbase Solutions, Roblox, and Xignite.
Before joining Altos Ventures in 2000, Anthony led marketing efforts for three start-up companies. He served as Vice President of Marketing for services automation leader Evolve Software (Nasdaq: EVLV, later acquired by Oracle/Primavera) and Vice President of Marketing for social search pioneer Clip2.com. He also co-founded Signature Wines, a national distributor of private-labeled wines. Previously, Anthony was a strategy consultant at McKinsey & Company and published a national magazine.
Anthony serves as Vice Chairman of TechSoup Global, the world's largest non-profit distributor of computer software and hardware. Anthony is a term member of the Council on Foreign Relations and a charter member of the Pacific Council of International Policy. He is a founding member of the Full Circle Fund, a venture philanthropy group based in San Francisco. Anthony received his MBA from Stanford University and earned a BA in Politics and Economics from Princeton University.

Hodong (Ho) Nam, General Partner

Ho Nam is a General Partner of Altos Ventures, focusing on investments in the areas of software, digital media, and infrastructure technologies. He currently serves as a director of Accolo, Billeo, Immunet, JS-Kit, SayNow, Telekenex, Trilibis Mobile, and WhiteHat Security. Ho led the firm's prior investments in Axis Systems, Evolve Software, Listen.com, Nishan Systems, Pixo, Provato and Soundpipe. All were deals in which Altos was the lead investor in the first institutional round of funding and achieved exits via IPO or trade sale to public companies.
Before joining Altos Ventures in 1996, Ho worked at Silicon Graphics and Octel Communications. Ho began his VC career at Trinity Ventures in 1990 and began his professional career at Bain & Company where he advised clients in the Semiconductor industry on product and corporate strategy.
Ho received an MBA from Stanford University and a BS in Engineering from Harvey Mudd College.

Alan Beringsmith, CFO

Alan Beringsmith is the CFO of Altos Ventures and works with Altos portfolio companies to develop the infrastructure, financial and operating systems required for rapid growth.
Before joining Altos Ventures in 2002, Alan was an investor, co-founder or officer in more than a dozen venture backed technology companies including RadioMail, where he served as COO and CFO and Inquisit, backed by Altos Ventures and Doll Capital Management.
Prior to his involvement with start-ups, Alan held a number of positions in finance and corporate planning at PG&E where he became the first executive of PG&E Enterprises, and served as VP Corporate Development and CFO as well as CEO of PG&E Properties. Alan also represented the gas and electric utility industries on advisory panels to the government on energy policy.
Alan holds BA and MA degrees from California State University, Sacramento and has completed all of the work except the dissertation for a Ph.D at Washington State University. He has also completed the Senior Executive Financial Management programs at Stanford and MIT.
